They Will Kill You

A combo of distinct cinematography, over the top fight scene and Kill Bill influences that works most of the times, but not always.

From the very beginning of the movie we are presented with the main character of the story escaping with her sister from a situation that we have no idea about, and the rest of the movie slowly fill us in on the details, with a fast pace of scenes following the action with a few sidetracks to explain some other characters and situations.

The thing that must stuck with me from this film is its style. The camera work, music choice on scenes and some sound effects corroborates with it, though, sometimes I felt they lost a bit of the balance between those elements and some comedy takes.

The fight scenes are well choreographed and violent, with graphical practical effects that sometimes seem realistic and grotesque and other times a tribute to the old school blood gushing effects.
