Caddo Lake
★★★★★★★★★★
The kind of movie that’s best appreciated by going in blind and theorizing along the way.
The film follows two distinct stories, one focused on Dylan O’Brien character, Paris, which tries to make sense of an accident that happened with him and his mother; and the other that follows a teenage girl named Elie, played by Eliza Scanlen, who faces family problems and has things more aggraveted by a misterious disappearence of her sister. At a first glance, the main connecting point between the two stories is the location where both takes place, Caddo Lake, but one of the fun parts of this kind of movies is getting to understand how else they connect with each other, and this film does a good job in getting us curious to know this.
If you’re looking for a plot twisty movie, go in blind and you might get surprised, just don’t try to understand every detail that is presented or the seams start to get too aparent and spoil the fun.
